It's that time again! It's also the end of Dry July and we've had a surge of new members joining us. We're already halfway through the year and this mixer is at the bar where it all began, Pocket in Grey Lynn. Our events aren't just for the NBWC crew, there for anyone who wants to come along and hang out, booze-free.
Join us for good chats and delicious mocktails. We're also excited to have Robert Bruce talk about his incredible outdoor adventure organisation 'Got To Get Out'. NBWC is now collaborating with GTGO and we have some epic adventures on the cards. Rob's one of our Ambassadors and gave up drinking on Jan 1st, 2016, he hasn't looked back.
Since launching GTGO in 2015 (while hiking in the Himalayas) Robert has now taken more than 600 people on mostly free hikes around New Zealand, attracted over 7,500 fans to his Facebook community, and helped to burn several million calories from the attendees who have ‘gotten out’ with him.
Robert's vision is to create the largest community of outdoor lovers in New Zealand, and to have ‘hosts’ arranging hikes all around the country or even the world, all under the banner of ‘Got To Get Out’.
So stoked to be partnering with this awesome organisation and to have some of the GTGO crew with us at this event.
Our mixers are a chance for people to come along and see what we're about - a mindful drinking initiative aimed at shifting attitudes towards drinking and socializing.
Included in your ticket price are Pocket Bar's epic tapas, a mocktail and Almighty Juice. Who says you can't have fun at one of Auckland's most popular watering holes sober?? Not us!
